GOD ALWAYS HAS A PLAN
My brother Jonathan recently suffered a terrible accident. He suffered multiple broken bones. A broken nose, with various broken and fractured bones in his face. Broth wrists, an elbow and his right femur were broken in half. His right knee cap was shattered. His left leg broken and fractured in multiple parts. Both feet were broken and he chipped bone in his neck. A series of surgeries will be needed to repair his legs and wrists, and of course months of rehabilitation is expected. This has been traumatizing for me and my family, but we are very appreciative of all of the prayers.
When my dad got the news, he was at work. Needless to say, he was shocked and shaken to the core.
An hour or so later, a gentleman walked into my dad's office wearing a shirt with a picture on it. My father and his boss both inquired of the who the picture portrayed. The man went on to explain that it was his birthday, and that 3 years prior, to the date, his older son shot and killed his younger son. My dad was floored.
The following day, trying to keep it together, my father picked up the phone for a simple business transaction. He asked the woman on the other side of the line how she was doing. Her response was, "not so good. I just found out yesterday that my son had his throat slit and died while in Jamaica." My dad immediately began to cry.
Obviously, God wants us to understand the pain that the world feels. People suffer greatly in this life. Should we be so naive to limit our understanding of suffering to the petty day to day mishaps that are a part of every day life, we should be greatly cursed. God always has a plan! He uses suffering, and even the small annoyances to get our attention. He wants us to seek him with all of our heart!
Jeremiah 29:11-14
Please pray for Jonathan
